I have a 2009 Toyota Highlander that started making a whining noise. I took it to the Toyota dealership and they immediately told me the entire transmission needed to be replaced. When I asked why they couldn’t look deeper and try to repair the issue instead of replacing the whole transmission, they didn’t seem interested in doing that.<br><br>A friend referred me to Matt at Super Sport Transmission. I spoke with him briefly on the phone, explained the problem, and he asked me to bring the vehicle in for a diagnostic check.<br><br>Matt did a thorough inspection and believed the issue was likely a transmission bearing, but he was honest and said he would know for sure once the transmission was opened up. We agreed on a fair price, I paid 50% down, and within a few days Matt had the job completed.<br><br>He replaced two transmission bearings, changed the transmission filter and fluid, and even replaced the sway bar links which had to be changed because they were rusted on. The whole job was done in just two days.<br><br>I’m extremely happy with the work and the honesty. Matt took the time to actually diagnose and fix the problem instead of just replacing the entire transmission like the dealership wanted to do.<br><br>I will definitely recommend Super Sport Transmission to my friends and family. Dealerships just want to replace parts, but Matt actually fixes the problem.<br><br>Thank you Matt!

Matt did an amazing job with my little beauty. He suggested a converter and went with his recommendation and he was spot on. Car has never driven so well. Good communication and great service. He will be my go to transmission guy now. Thanks Matt!

BUYER BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!<br><br>I'm super disappointed with this guys abilities. 7k and 1 month down the drain. His craftsmanship is horrendous, I dropped my van off to get the transmission rebuilt. It sounded like he would do a good job, but he did not. Got the vehicle back it was shifting so hard into 3rd and overdrive. It felt like it was going to rip the drive shafts out. It was actually hurting my back. He didn't have time to do the repair, so he made me drive it like that for 2000km and then charged me for a service while trying to correct it. The service charge was $350 he wanted $400, like 2000km, and give your head a shake buddy. During installation, I supplied a bigger transmission cooler, at which time he charged me $521 for some hack job. The transmission cooler is touching the friken condenser, and the brackets are spaced using some trash tape. The power steering cooler is mountaid with hose clamps. I'm not impressed at this point. I'm done. I wouldn't let this guy work on my mountain bike, let alone another vehicle. Mechanics like this give other mechanics a bad reputation!! Honestly, I could go on and on about this guy just stay away from this shop. Mat, you need to go back to school or get more training. What you did to my van is complete BS!<br><br>Edit* This is directly for the owner. You know full well that this vehicle never shifted properly after the moment you touched it. I brought it back to you 3 times. You should remember as you charged me all three times. I've driven this van for 13 year and had the transmission rebuilt once before it lasted for 5 years. Your "rebuild" lasted me less than a week. You full well you didn't go a good job. Don't turn a you problem into a me problem. This van has a 7.3ltr diesel engine when maintained properly will last well over 1 million kilometers. You are a hack job mechanic who sells people a lie and upcharges for his mistakes. You are a disgrace to the trade. You don't appreciate people's time I gave you the van on march 4th it took you till April 7th to give it back broken. You are deluded you have no concept of time or money. It took you one month to do a sub par job at best! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP

great expeirence. i live in a small town in BC and no local shop could rebuild my 700r4 trans for at least 2 monthes. i got this shop to build me a stage 1 performance transmission and send it out in just a few weeks. the local shop ran into issues on the install, matt was quick to call the shop and give any advice in diagnosing the problem and it was resolved quickly. i like to do most work myself(aside from transmission work) so its hard for me to trust any shop let alone one that is 4 hours away that ive have never stepped foot in. my expeirence was so good that i wrote this review which i can count on one hand all the reviews ive given past businesses

Had the opportunity to do a project with Matt. He is professional, punctual,honest and wery knowledgeable guy.<br>Strongly recommended.
