Owner refused to work my vehicle to repair a minor bumper damage. He stated it would take his staff 4 hours to make 2 small, hidden, and simple cuts into the new bumper to fit the OEM kit.
As well his company can not match paint color with a basic paint color scanning tool.
He also mentioned no desire in trying to find rust free parts to replace the damaged ones. He seemed more than happy to be as unhelpful as possible and stated he is too busy to bother.

I have worked in autobody repair and as a mechanic for 20 years. This was a extremely simple and forgiving modification that would take a junior employee about 20 mins to match up the cuts from the old bumper to the new.
As well a paint colour scanning tool is very common place in the autobody industry as the sun can fade the paint, so matching the newly panted part to sun faded paint can only be done with this tool.

The best thing to do in situations like this as an owner is to simply get the car in the shop and have a look at what was done and if it is as difficult as the customer states.

Over all I got the sense this autobody repair shop was more of a bolt on bolt off company that only deals with simple insurance claims.

Terrible service. I was referred to this site as someone with the same make and model had previous work here. The person who came out to quote the work had a terrible bedside manner. He gave me a ridiculous quote. I had the work done at an east end shop for a third of what he quoted me.
