Great bunch of people

I booked 3 weeks in advance for an annual safety so when my truck got there it was supposed to be looked at right away. Once my truck was there it sat for 3 days before they finally looked at it, then took 2 more days to provide an estimate for work. To top it off when I finally got the estimate all parts where marked up 2 to 3 hundred percent above OEM price.

I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after the experience I’ve had with Reid Bros Belleville over the past year and a half, I feel other owner-operators should be aware.

I spent approximately $9,000 on safety and repair work for a truck that was only 3 years old and a trailer that was 2 years old. Since then, I’ve dealt with ongoing alignment and steering issues that were never properly resolved.

In that time:

- I’ve had 4 alignments performed
- Gone through 6 steer tires in only a year and a half
- Had my tie rod overtightened, not greased properly, and completely ruined during alignment work, forcing me to replace it at my own expense
- Been repeatedly told things were “fixed” when they clearly were not

I recently brought the truck to another shop, and the difference in workmanship and professionalism was night and day.

What concerns me most is the apparent lack of quality control. The shop seemed severely understaffed, and much of the work appeared to be completed by apprentices without proper oversight. For a dealership representing Volvo/Mack, that is unacceptable.

I tried addressing my concerns directly with management before writing this review, but after spending this amount of money and continuing to deal with the same problems, I’ve lost confidence in this facility entirely.

At this point, I honestly would not trust this shop to work on my bicycle, let alone a commercial vehicle responsible for highway safety.

Very disappointing experience.
