⭐ **Very Disappointing Experience with National Transmission**
I came to National Transmission on Wednesday morning because my van was having transmission problems\. I spoke with the manager, and explained the situation\. He told me the repair would likely cost between **$4,000–$5,000**, depending on what they found\. He said they would diagnose the vehicle and call me within a few hours, and that the van could likely be repaired by the beginning of the following week\. I waited all day and received no call\. The next day, late in the afternoon, I went back to the shop myself to find out what was happening\. I was told they were busy and that the manager would call me at the end of his shift\. Again, I waited—and again, nobody called\. I tried to be patient and respectful because I understand that businesses can get busy\. But I was left waiting for days without any communication or update about my vehicle\. Finally, the following Tuesday around 4:00 PM, I received a call from the same person asking me to come to the shop so they could show me the problem\. When I arrived, I was extremely disappointed by the way the situation was handled\. The manager used inappropriate **F\-word language** while explaining the situation and told me that my existing transmission could not be repaired and that I needed a replacement transmission\. The price was now **$7,400**, and I was asked to sign approval to proceed\. I was also told that if I waited approximately two weeks for parts from Chevrolet, the cost would be about **$900 less**\.
At that point, my van had already been sitting at their shop for about a week\. I felt I had very limited options, so I approved the repair\. I was then told the job would **definitely be completed the next day**\. Later that day, the manager called me and said he had “two pieces of news,” asking me which one I wanted to hear first\. I told him it didn’t matter\. He then said: **“The good news is they installed the transmission\. The bad news is the transmission leaks\.”**
Honestly, I found this completely inappropriate and unprofessional\. When a customer is already dealing with a major and very expensive vehicle repair, making a joke or presenting a serious mechanical problem this way is not acceptable\.

The biggest issues for me were:

- Very poor communication and lack of updates\.
- I repeatedly had to contact them myself to find out what was happening\.
- The original estimated cost increased dramatically\.
- I was told the repair would be completed the next day, but then was informed that the replacement transmission was leaking\.
- The way the manager communicated the problem was disrespectful and unprofessional\.
- The use of inappropriate language toward a customer was completely unacceptable\.
I I understand that mechanical problems can be complicated and that unexpected issues can happen during a repair\. **What I expect from a professional shop is honest communication, reasonable customer service, and professionalism throughout the process\.**
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend National Transmission\. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the way customers are treated and informed about major repairs\.
Good
Arash, Neil, and the team at National Transmission got to the bottom of my concerns in a quick, efficient, and professional manner. I brought my car in after I'd originally got a quote from my dealership. Upon inspection, there were multiple issues at play and some logistics to deal with in regards to certain parts. Thankfully, I wasn't in a rush to get my vehicle back, we went over my options, went with a plan, and they swiftly got to work on my vehicle. With the above work complete I definitely saved myself some headaches down the line if these fixes were not looked after promptly and in such detail. I'll echo other postive reviews and say you'll receive excellent work and service at the National Transmission N.E. location.

Cheers, Jesse.
