I took my 2019 vehicle to the dealership due to a check engine light - they came back with over $8,000 of recommended repairs and service and it wasn’t even clear what recommendations related to the check engine light. Being very sceptical of the large bill associated with the recommendations I thought a second opinion was in order - I will also add the vehicle drove completely fine. Shaun at Knibbee told me all of the recommendations were essentially fake, except for one item - the catalytic converter was in fact an issue and needed to be fixed or replaced. However - Shaun also let me know this particular repair was still under warranty - the dealership did not mention this and instead wanted to charge over $3,000 to replace the catalytic converter as part of the recommended repairs. Short version - I left the vehicle with Shaun who dealt with the dealership for me and got the catalytic converter replaced under warranty with no cost to me other than the diagnostic fee Knibbee charged which was more than fair and I was happy to pay. I will 100% be returning to Knibbee for future work. I believe I have finally found an honest shop who knows what they are doing. Saw the great reviews and decided to bring my genesis g70 in for a brake job. I could not be happier and i’ll be back the next time i need work done.
We were quoted $14,000 at a collision repair shop for our car that is worth about $6,000. We called Knibbe and they were able to repair the car so that it is drivable and safe using used parts for $3000. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone that needs repairs or maintenance.
The team is awesome to work with. They talk in layman's language and make sure I understand all of the information. They are fun, skilled and honest!
