Collingwood Import Auto Centre

Been going here for all my auto needs for a couple years now. Brought my car in for a specific reason this time, and nothing was found but my car was topped with oil which I didn't ask for and simply mentioned that I had oil and could have done it myself. Was called by the mechanic shortly after I left and instead of simply explaining why he did it, he proceeded to chew me out on why I'm wrong and how I should've known better. A minor inconvenience turned into me never returning my vehicle here again. If you can't do customer service perhaps don't pick up the phone.

Booked our car in for diagnostics one week in advance (car would not turn over). Everything is electronic so vehicle would not even go into neutral. We were recommended to these guys by another local shop as they are supposedly experienced with European vehicles so they should have known that getting into neutral was an issue but we advised them of this when calling to book ur in and again on the day we were having the car towed there. The lady on the phone indicated that she would advise the guys in the shop of the issue. No one called to tell us anything and when our tow operator got there, the guy sitting behind the desk was not helpful at all to get the vehicle off the flat deck. He called us to say that he wasn’t willing to get down on the gravel lot to jack up our car to disengage the transmission and told us to take it to the dealership (in BARRIE). He was rude and had no other advice to offer other than to take it to the dealership because it was cold and damp and the delicate flower didn’t want to get under the car. Probably didn’t want to chip his nail polish either…

We ended up having to bring it back to our house and incurring a second tow fee.

All of this could have been avoided had we just been advised when we first called that they had a gravel driveway and would not be able to move the car into the shop. Secondly, this morning when we called to confirm that we were bringing it in, someone could have called us back BEFORE towing it all the way there and advised the same.

Absolutely would NOT recommended these people to anyone!
