Mr. Lube + Tires

I would never recommend Mr. Lube to anyone based on my experience.

Last summer, I took my car in for service. Just two days later, my vehicle completely shut down and would not start. I had it towed back to Mr. Lube, where I was told the battery was dead. They kept my car for a week and charged me a significant amount for the repair.

However, within two hours of getting the car back, the exact same problem occurred again. I had to tow the vehicle back a second time. This time, they told me the alternator was the issue and once again kept my car for another week. After paying over $1,000 in repairs, I received the car back only to experience the same problem yet again.

Frustrated, I took the vehicle to a different mechanic for a second opinion. He inspected the car and informed me that neither the battery nor the alternator was faulty. According to him, the issue was caused by wiring that had been altered. He fixed the problem within a few hours and charged only $300. After that repair, my car ran perfectly for 7–8 months without a single issue.

Unfortunately, two days ago I returned to Mr. Lube for nothing more than a routine oil change. Within 48 hours, my car completely shut down again with the same symptoms. When I contacted the manager to discuss the situation, my concerns were ignored. I found the response rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.

I have spent a great deal of money, time, and towing expenses because of issues that I believe were either misdiagnosed or not properly addressed. As a customer, I expected accountability and better service.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mr. Lube, even for a simple oil change. I found the service disappointing, the communication poor, and the customer care lacking.

Dylan and Harry are top notch, I called at 4 explaining i just came in from out of town and that another shop who did my tires must've put them out of balance they had me come in even tho they closed at 5. They stayed half hour past closing to finish the job and send me on my way.
I'd recommend Mr.lube in cornwall to anyone passing by or living in the surrounding area. The service I received from all working even tho they worked later than expected was awesome!

Tech Josh asked me if i wanted a free cabin air filter inspection. So i said yes. My cabin air filter was very dirty, leaves, dust, ect. When the tech pulled it out leaves that were atop the filter fell into the housing. (I wasn't aware of leaves falling in at the time.) Instead of cleaning them out with hand or even a vacuum they just pushed the new one back in. As i didn't realize that leaves had fallen in i didn’t think anything of it. When I left the blower fan was very noisy so when I went back in they had someone disassemble the housing again in the parking lot. The tech now was trying to tell me that the leaves were already in the blower motor before they took it out and that the dirty filter was dampening the noise so I couldn’t hear it before. They couldn’t get the leaves out and said I’d have to get back in line for them to drop the whole blower to remove leaves. At this point there were three cars already in line and said I’d have to wait. When I asked if I could just get a refund and fix it myself since I didn’t have the time to wait, they refused. Charged me 95 dollars to replace this filter and leave me with an extremely loud blower motor. Sceptical about returning after going there for the last 5 years.
