I brought multiple pieces of equipment to Wyss Diesel for major repairs, including an $18,000 fuel system replacement on my 6.7 Powerstroke, a $2,662.52 loader inspection, and a $4,000 safety on my 40-foot tilt trailer.

After the fuel system repair, I discovered injector seals were not replaced, which resulted in a significant oil leak. The EGR gasket was not replaced and was leaking, which caused a strong exhaust smell to enter the cabin. The coolant quick-connect clamps on the front lines were left unsecured.

A fuel line on the S&S prevention kit was improperly kinked and routed. Because of the kink, the system was not receiving full fuel pressure. The line was also rubbing against surrounding components, which wore a hole in it and could have resulted in a major fuel leak.

To correct these issues, the engine had to be torn down again. It required approximately 25 hours of labor and significant additional expense to redo work that should have been completed properly the first time. This was a substantial teardown to access and correct components located deep within the engine.

On my loader, the brake pedal mechanism was left disconnected. We had to temporarily reconnect it in their parking lot just to move it. They were about to send me back out on the road with the loader in that condition — with no functioning brakes and no heat. That is completely unacceptable.

The heater was not working because the fuse had been removed. A mechanic retrieved that fuse from another machine/vehicle on their lot and reinstalled it, and only then did the heater function. All of these systems were working properly when I first brought the loader in for service.

Two working batteries were also replaced without my authorization.

The machine went in operating properly and came out with more problems than it had before. I felt unsafe using it and had no choice but to spend an additional $600 on transport to have it moved to another shop to be properly inspected and repaired.

Less than 1,000 kilometers after they completed the safety work and axle repair on my 40-foot tilt trailer, one of the wheels completely detached and rolled through live traffic. This was highway-use equipment that had just passed a required safety inspection under their workmanship. A wheel does not come off properly serviced equipment.

Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to blame me, suggesting that someone must have sabotaged my trailer. That explanation is completely unreasonable. The trailer had just been in their shop, and wheel installation and torque are fundamental safety responsibilities.

This has been part of a string of back-to-back mistakes across multiple jobs. When you are dealing with heavy equipment and highway vehicles, this level of repeated failure is unacceptable and extremely dangerous.

These issues resulted in significant downtime, additional repair costs, and loss of business. This was my experience.
