Ignite Automotive Repair

I brought my 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora to Ignite Automotive Repair to assess if it was worth repairing. What followed was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. Over nearly nine months (Dec 2024–Aug 2025), I spent roughly $6,000 on labor and parts for a full front-end rebuild and multiple major repairs. The manager/head mechanic repeatedly assured me there would be no problem getting a safety inspection.
After the latest alternator repair (which took nearly a week and involved arguments), they suddenly refused the safety, claiming the frame was “rotten.” I later saw clear signs of impact damage and rough handling on the subframe mounts—work that should never have been done given the severely rusted unibody frame. The car was released multiple times in unsafe condition, pulling all over the road.
I felt completely taken advantage of. There was no proper licensed oversight, no accountability, and the owner never reached out despite my repeated concerns. I’ve filed complaints with AMVIC and AIT.
Extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty, professionalism, and quality. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere. Will see you in court.

Great experience with this auto repair shop! The team was professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. They provided excellent brake repair and explained everything clearly before doing the work. Their pricing was fair, and I really appreciated the reliable service. If you’re looking for a trusted mechanic and affordable car repair, I highly recommend them!

Never again!

Son on law took his truck there for a strut which he supplied, tire rotation and wheel alignments and quoted 588.00. They took 2 full days and damaged the threads on his wheel axle and only put the nut ⅔ threaded....didnt do the wheel alignment and still charged him over 500 buck ....12 year olds could do better work with the help of u tube ....never going there ever...... not recommended....
