Matt was extremely polite and considerate, explained everything thoroughly and did a great job on switching out my winter tires. The best service I’ve had for my car so far considering I’ve been in and out of shops and dealers a lot. Will be coming back for any further repairs.

It was my first time visiting Chestnut Auto and i went due to the good reviews from redit and with all honesty they are amazing. it is a small shop but they treat you like a dealership and better. Pat was amazing and very nice explained everything to me clearly. i would highly suggest going their. i will be returning for future maintenance.

Had my car brakes squeaking. Saw a bit more wear on the back rotors than the front, but saw there was still a bit of meat left on the pads, so I brought my car in for Matt to look at it.

He said no issues with the back rotors, one of the front anti rattle clips got bent and was rubbing and making the sound. Could have been from a rock or when I changed the winter tires. He said since there was no issue, they had just done the front brakes last year, there was no charge.

No inspection fee, just a quick fix by them and I have peace of mind. I didn't expect this level of honesty from a car repair shop.

I'll keep going back. Thought the least I could do was share the experience. Chestnut Avenue Auto FTW. No regrets.

I have gone to this shop several times for basic maintenance (oil changes, tire changes, brake checking, etc.) for a few years now after moving to Hamilton. I'm very picky about my mechanics - I've dealt with enough who think I am unaware about cars because I'm not a man, or many chains who hire inexperienced folks and don't train them well (like one who didn't even tighten an oil cap well after an oil change - imagine the mess under my hood after - thank god it didn't end up in my exhaust intake). This place has always been friendly and straightforward about what is needed vs what is up to me, and they don't try to upcharge me for ridiculous and un-needed shit. They sometimes have a little bit of a wait, but it's worth it for the quality and experience, if your car can make the wait. A++ for quality, experience, communication and friendliness. Thanks guys!
