ProTech did an excellent job on making my engine run more efficent, much cooler, and with more power. I'll never be stranded in the middle of nowhere from overheating again. Kudos to Rob on his work on my 2008 Sierra 3500HD dually, it's never run like that before.

Ford 6.7 CP4 failure. Pump exploded. Split into multiple pieces. SPS disaster kit installed when new saved the rails and injectors. Fords response was absolutely ridiculous. The pump is part of an outstanding recall that requires the pump to have failed to qualify and would take 3 weeks to process and an additional 5 weeks to repair if qualified. As the disaster kit did not provide for a gradual reduction in drivability as the rails and nozzles would have plugged the exploded pump could not be assessed for the cause of failure. The disaster kit screen was inspected 500 miles previously with zero debris. the pump generated so much material it deformed the screen to the; point of rupture flooding the fuel tank with the nightmare disco party.<br>This all happened on an annual trip to northern BC loaded with gear and supplies. Towed from Cache Creek BC to Kamloops BC.<br>Protech Diesel Center took the truck in on a Friday for assessment and repair. 2 weeks later on a Friday we picked it up.<br>The team at Protech was amazing. Communication and responsiveness were first rate. Knowledgeable and experienced in this known issue. DCR conversion was recommended and installed. Would not hesitate to refer Protech and their team.<br>For those that have CP4 pumps installed with disaster kits, be very cautious. Failure with the kit installed is instantaneous and dramatic. We were fortunate to have it fail from a standing start merging back onto the HI way. If it quit during a passing maneuver, it would have been a serious safety issue.<br>Schedule your replacement. It is a major challenge especially in BC if your off grid or out on the Caribou Plateau like we are.

Huge shout out to Matt and Austin for getting me back on the road at when I pulled in at closing time staying after hours to swap out an alternator to get me back on the road to Vancouver

Protech Diesel Center saved the day! Heading home to Vancouver from Kamloops, I thought i blew my turbo. With no appointment, they told me to swing by and have their tech take a look. It turned out to be a simple fix (not my turbo, whew) and he got me back on the road in no time. I am so thankful for their willingness to help me today (at no charge) AND also noticed something I needed to replace very soon. I will most certainly give them a call if I need help again and highly recommend others to do the same. Many thanks!!
