I was driving from Calgary to Edmonton on a super hot day and just outside of Red Deer, my AC stopped blowing cold. My girlfriend googled places in Edmonton; no one would have still been open when I arrived. I asked her to look for a shop in Leduc and she found RL Auto. I called and said what my issue was, when I could be there and the receptionist said he could take a look but no promises. I arrived 40 minutes later and Ryan came out and hooked my car up to the air conditioning 'checker' (it has a real name but I am a person who does NOT do vehicle stuff) Because I thought he might have to move my car, I pointed out the fact that I was currently getting the door to lock by putting a bunch of kleenex between the door and the car and he said he would look at that as well. He took my door apart, fixed the problem (a problem that I knew happened as a result of an accident I had been in but was told, by the body shop who fixed it, that there was 'no way that accident caused that') Ryan disagreed and told me WHY it was TOTALLY a result of the accident and he fixed my door. It closes now WITHOUT me having to jam kleenex in there! He also checked my AC system and confirmed there were no leaks and refilled the freeon. All of this done with a smile - he was super friendly and knowledgeable and the fact that he fit me in on a Friday afternoon was SO appreciated. RL Auto does car repairs of all kinds (he has some pretty sweet vintage vehicles he does work on) and I would HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone who wants quality service. Thanks so much, Ryan - you totally helped my weekend NOT be a terrible, uncomfortable HOT one!
