Drive Shaft Specialist

Solid old-fashioned honest service. The gentleman let me watch as he removed, balanced and re-installed my F150 driveshaft. It was like taking a repair class. The dealership can't balance driveshafts, so wanted to replace it for $1800. Drive Shaft Specialist diagnosed and solved the issue for $285.

One has to be accurate in what he/she states when releasing their negative; therefore, I need to mention this experience dates a few years back (maybe things have changed since), but I can't say my experience then was a 'positive' one: the guy did replace joints (definintely made it rotate easier) and charged me for a substabtial amount, but completely forgot to mention that it (may) need balancing. When I discovered the car now shakes as hell at 70+ kmph - well, he offered me to balance it for almost twice as much as joints replacement cost me, including again charges for removing/installing the part (couldn't it be done all at once?!). Even after balancing the driveshaft - the car kept shaking (only now it was getting noticeable at 90+). My complain "it's still so far from OK" I was told "what else you want, it's an old car, it must be transmittion", like transmission was not an issue before they touched the driveshaft but all of a suddent it became an issue right after.
I ended up with installing the used one from U-pull, it cost me 10% of what I have paid at this place plus two hours of my own labour.
Two stars instead of one - well, the guy did educate me a bit, explaining what is what and how it is supposed, but that's it, the problem was not actually eliminated.
Quite a dissapointment, never went there again.
