I brought my VW Jetta TDI to him because I was told he specializes in these cars. My car was going into limp mode, and instead of diagnosing the real issue, he insisted the car “needed a delete” and that this would fix everything. I was skeptical, but he was extremely confident, so I agreed.<br><br>After the delete, he charged me $2,000 — and the car was not fixed. It went into limp mode again the same day I picked it up. He had told me he would stand behind his work, but when I took the car back, he couldn’t figure out the actual problem. The delete ended up being completely unnecessary.<br><br>Because I urgently needed a working vehicle, he even suggested I buy his car instead, which felt very off considering mine still wasn’t repaired.<br><br>I took my Jetta to another mechanic, who found two loose wires and fixed the real issue for about $300. They also looked at the delete work and said they had serious concerns about the quality.<br><br>After this entire experience, my honest opinion is that you’re gambling with your money bringing a car here. I paid thousands for a “repair” that didn’t fix anything and had to go elsewhere to get the real issue solved.<br>Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this shop.
