I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience here compelled me to. During a recent oil change at a shop that will not be named (rhymes with "Mr Tube") I was told that the brake pads and rotors on my wife's SUV were in "DESPERATE" need of replacing, and was given a fairly high quote. I decided to get a second quote with Central Service Auto, and I am so glad I did. Not only was the initial brake job that I was quoted over the phone by Central much more reasonable than the other place, but once they actually inspected my brakes/rotors in person, Cameron informed me that there was absolutely no need to replace them! (Plenty of thickness on the pads and rotors left). They could've just done the work and charged me like I had originally asked, but their honesty was appreciated, and frankly becoming rarer with shops these days.

I will now exclusively be taking my vehicles here for all services. If you want a mechanic shop that has reasonable pricing and is honest, this is the place!

Honestly, they went above and beyond. They took care of the issue quickly and made sure I could get back to Toronto safely. If it wasn’t for them, I would’ve been stuck towing the vehicle back and finding another way home.

What impressed me most was their honesty and professionalism. In a situation like that, another shop could’ve easily taken advantage of me and charged whatever they wanted, knowing I was stranded and far from home. Instead, they treated me fairly and charged a very reasonable amount. I was genuinely surprised and extremely grateful for how they handled everything.

St. Catharines is lucky to have a trustworthy shop like this in town. Thank you again to the team at Central Service Auto Repair — I truly appreciate the help.
