I was looking for a new Mechanic's shop here in Stratford .. and I found one! The counter staff (K and M) are friendly and very knowledgeable, the Tech work is top-notch and the prices are within reason. I am very happy to have made the switch to Accountable Automotive!!

Great service, friendly people and customer service

Been going to this shop for years family run and very friendly, from my experience has always been the best quality work.

My husband and I are new to Stratford and were hoping to find a reliable local mechanic instead of driving an hour to our usual shop. After receiving recommendations for Accountable, we decided to give them a try.

Unfortunately, we were shocked to be charged $296 simply for a diagnostic. The vehicle wasn’t even there for a full day, and we had already identified the likely issue ourselves before bringing it in. This is the highest diagnostic fee we've ever encountered.

We understand that businesses need to charge for their time, expertise, and overhead, and we have no issue paying a fair diagnostic fee. However, in this case, the cost felt unreasonably high relative to the service provided and far exceeded what we've experienced elsewhere.

We genuinely wanted to support a local business and hoped to find a mechanic we could rely on long-term. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning or recommending Accountable to others.
