A friend brought my car here while visiting CB because she was told they had the proper diagnostic equipment to identify an engine issue. She paid nearly $700, but the original problem was never fixed. Her car eventually became completely undrivable due to the same issue she initially brought it in for. When she called to report that the problem persisted, she was yelled at over the phone. Because of the hostility, she contacted the police and was explicitly told that if she needed to return and felt unsafe, she should call them. Today, when she returned because the car would no longer start, the situation escalated immediately. The woman at the front desk began screaming and, when she said she was calling the police as advised, she threatened multiple times to “lay my friend out flat” in their parking lot. Shortly after, the owner came out and physically shoved her while yelling in her face. Police arrived, but despite the prior guidance her was given to contact them, her concerns were dismissed because it was a civil matter. This was one of the most unprofessional, hostile, and unsafe experiences we have ever had with a business. I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing their vehicle here not only due to the unresolved mechanical issue, but because of the aggressive and threatening behavior she experienced on site.

I wouldn’t recommend this shop. I left my car there yesterday after getting it towed by their sister company, which wasn’t an issue. I appreciated them looking at it same day. They called me 1-2 hours later to tell me I could come pick it up. No diagnosis or cost of service was discussed before they repaired it OR before I asked pricing. I was thrown off guard and asked how much it was going to be, so she put me on hold to check. When she returned, she said there was a screwdriver stuck in my tire and she’d show me if I wanted to see it when I got there.

I took a taxi back to the shop right away even though I didn’t receive a price. Luckily, (or so I thought) I only had to pay $100 for the tow and $20 for them to plug my tire. I didn’t see the screwdriver and wasn’t told which tire was affected, just that it was punctured directly in the middle of the tire. On my drive home to Glace Bay, my tire pressure light came on. All of the tires looked fine when I got home, so I figured maybe they just didn’t fill the tire back up enough after plugging it
This morning when I went to take my boyfriend to work, the tire was completely FLAT.

Had I received a call prior to them plugging my tire, I would’ve requested that they patch AND plug it or even just replace it entirely if they weren’t confident a patch and plug would hold, but it should have, and a plug should last way longer than 15 or less hours. I only went here because the shop I wanted to go to didn’t have a mechanic available and this one is tied to the towing company that picked my car up. Unfortunately, I now have to spend half of my workday dealing with my car all over again and my boyfriend is out a day’s pay because we couldn’t get to Louisbourg.
