Terrible overpriced can’t give a timely quote

This auto shop is 100% the shadiest, most dishonest, disgusting one yet. My father brought his truck there in January of last year for a safety. They stated he most likely would need a new box, they were apparently “looking” for one for nearly 6 months. They finally said they couldn’t find one and that he would have to find one on his own. My father asked them if it could be repaired, rather than get a new box, to which they apparently had someone who they were connected with for autobody repairs (might I add nearly took two months) and they then stated it could not be fixed and would need a new box and that once my father found one they would put it on for him. My father finally found a box that was snowed in out in the country at this point, to which he had called the shop and let whichever person answered the phone at that time know what was happening (it takes multiple times for this shop to answer their phone, assuming they must have screwed over so many people they’re too scared to answer.) My father called this shop multiple times to get in contact with the owner Rob who was always “not in the office” or “on vacation” according to staff who answered the phone. My father also attempted to pay his bill for what was looked at so far and the highly highly HIGHLY incompetent staff always had some excuse like, “Rob has to do it but he’s away” or “we don’t know where the bill is.” I told my father multiple times that they seemed majorly crooked and not to trust them, but unfortunately he has good faith and mistakingly believed this shop was decent and reputable. Now that the snow is gone and my father is able to get the box he went last week to talk to Rob and again the incompetent staff stated he was “away.” So he AGAIN had to go down there yesterday to which Rob was finally available, shocking right, and was given the news that they sold his truck to Dutchak for scrap, because it was taking up lot space and they “hadn’t heard from him” and “tried contacting him,” which was the biggest lie they could come up with. There was no letter, no voicemail, no work contact, absolutely NOTHING. What they did was theft, by unlawfully taking my fathers vehicle against his will and with no notice and no ownerships (which my father still has them)… then selling it to Dutchak unlawfully without original documents, which I believe can be classified as fraud. My father is now devastated, and I am beyond furious, as his health has been on a decline and this is just extra unwanted and unneeded stress. I have already warned multiple people and contacted others that I know in the automotive field and they all state this is illegal and to pursue legal action. I am now assisting my father in the pursuit of legal action against this foul shop.

Called for pricing. Kid who answered the phone was rude and uneducated. Got in at a different shop that knows what they’re talking about.
