CARSTAR Thunder Bay (Half-Way Motors)

Brought the car from Schreiber to get some front-end body work done and was told that work would be completed on a Friday afternoon and that the keys would be in the vehicle ready for pickup when we returned from Toronto on the following Sunday. Arrived in Thunder Bay on Sunday to find that the work was not completed and the car was not ready to be picked up which meant that we were stranded in Thunder Bay for the night. Having no choice, we got a hotel room for the night expecting CarStar to cover the cost of this room for us considering they were at fault for the delay. Come Monday morning we were able to call CarStar in hopes for an update on the car and a discussion of how they would compensate us for our forced hotel stay. They proceeded to basically tell us "too bad so sad" and that they would not be compensating us for any of the additional costs that they had caused. If you are looking for an honest shop to work on your vehicle, do not get work done here, you will be disappointed. They also racked up the bill far passed the initial quote for the work, and then forgot to order and install one of the parts that we requested. Get your collision repair somewhere else!!
