I had a very disappointing experience with Cat and Car Auto during my Uber inspection. They charged an unreasonable amount just to replace a small bulb and pushed for unnecessary repairs. What should have been a simple and affordable fix turned into an overpriced service. The pricing felt excessive and not transparent at all. I would recommend others to get a second opinion before agreeing to repairs here.
Car Care Whitby: They emptied all the contents of my glove box looking for the wheel lug locks. Finally called me to ask where they were. Left all the contents of the glove box on the front seat for me to deal with when I picked up my car (not cool). Hourly rates are different for each type of work. Wouldn't the hourly rate be fixed and the length of time be different for each work performed like other mechanics. Strange. Other than those two things, service was pretty average.
Fast and efficient and great price. I didn't like that they took my tires off but I guess they need a picture of my brake pads to upload for the safety.
Spoke with owner and was told $35 if i bring my own oil and filter, went in and was told it’s $50+ tax. Just frustrated with the price change after being told a price.
Either don’t give prices when you’re in a good mood or honour the price you gave.
Finding an honest mechanic can be incredibly stressful, but I am so glad I found Car Care in Whitby. They were completely transparent about what my car actually needed and didn't try to push any unnecessary repairs. The pricing was very fair, and they took the time to explain the issue to me so I understood what I was paying for. I will definitely be bringing my car back here for all future maintenance!"
