Be careful dealing with this mechanic .They started working on my car without telling me the price or getting my approval first.I only found out the total cost after the work was finished.

This feels very unfair and unprofessional. Make sure you get a written estimate before agreeing to anything here.

I was having issues with my 2017 Kia Forte battery constantly dying. Hi-Tech auto came recommended by several people at my work. Rick took the time to find the problem, which wasn't quick or easy. His communication throughout was great. He even fixed a non-related issue for me while my car was in shop, free of charge (some part had become loose). I highly recommend this place!

These guys are not honest. My car's engine light was on. They quoted me $100, then later charged me $250.

This was my last visit to Hi Tech Automotive (979 Wyandotte St W, Windsor, ON N9A 5Y3). My first experience was very disappointing. I brought my car in for a repair, and Rick initially quoted me $60. After his mechanic started inspecting and taking things apart, he told me he would not continue unless I paid $280 instead. The second time, I came in for a Safety Standards Certificate. I was initially quoted $170. Later, Rick told me that I needed to replace three tires in order to pass the safety inspection. I explained the prospective buyer had agreed to take care of the safety certification and any required repairs themselves. After I explained this, Rick said he would proceed with the safety inspection for the original $170 without requiring the tire replacement. However, by that point, the buyer had lost confidence in Rick and decided to have the safety inspection done elsewhere. When I informed Rick that I would not continue, he told me I still had to pay the full $170. I paid it because I did not want any further conflict and waste my time.
