It was a great experience for me.Kate explained everything about the service to me in a very gentle and loving manner. I really enjoyed it and didn't have any problems there.
I recommend AVOIDING this dealership if you are looking to buy a new or used vehicle. While the salesperson that I ended up with was not pushy, they were also not good at follow up, almost as though my potential business was irrelevant. Regardless, I booked two test drives on the potential vehicle I was looking at and was set to trade in my car and make a deal. I was up front the entire time that I was only interested in one trim level, that I did NOT want any additional options added in, and that I would be trading in my car.
However, this is where it got weird in that they couldn’t assess the vehicle on the spot, and that head office would have to be involved to appraise it. In 30 years of purchasing vehicles, I have never heard that line before. Reluctantly, I booked a follow-up appointment to perform the assessment and get a final quote on the new vehicle. When I arrived, they offered me a third test drive, so I took it and came back about 20 mins later. The individual who performed the assessment admitted the vehicle was in excellent shape but then proceeded to not only low-ball me on the price, but also claimed the vehicle needed serious brake work (rotors and pads). They then appraised my vehicle at 25% less than wholesale (trade in value) claiming they would need the difference for “potential” repairs. Then they handed me the quote on the new car that had a “mandatory” charge for additional options (“dent, paint, rim and key combo”) even after I had explicitly told them NO additional options.
I refused the deal as I knew exactly the condition of my car, its actual trade in value, and the actual wholesale price on the new vehicle. They looked dumbfounded, so I left and booked a service appointment at current service center / dealership. I told the service manager about the claim on the brakes and they investigated it. Fortunately, they were honest (as they could have fleeced me in that situation) telling me I was flatly lied to and the brakes and rotors were fine, no work needed.
I’ve done this dance of negotiating for years, but to boldface lie and lose business seems like a very bizarre business model. At this point I assume it’s the dealership and its tactics. I may try another Honda dealership, but at this point I’m not certain I can trust them either. Either way, I recommend AVOIDING this dealership.
Very welcoming staff. I was treated with respect and kindness. Highly trained and experienced professionals. Highly recommend.
