I lost 3 of 5 lug nuts while driving my Aunt to the airport from Ontario which caused damage to the rim and could have killed us. After being towed in, the folks at Giardino put the doughnut on for me (switching a tire so it would be on the back) and ordered a rim which they put on as soon as it came in the next morning (a doughnut was not sufficient for the trip back to K-Town).
This was a very stressful situation and Guy and his wife (and son) were kind and helpful in our time of need. They did everything they could to get us in our way again!
Thanks again!
Less than a year ago, they installed a new caliper on my front left side. After a few months, the caliper started sticking, causing the rotor to overheat and the car to brake on its own. I took it back to have it checked, and once again they said the caliper had seized and needed to be replaced. They replaced it, but just a few days later, the exact same problem happened again.
I ended up stranded in the middle of the street with my newborn baby. I called them, explaining that it was urgent and clearly an issue caused by their work, but they didn’t care at all. They told me they could see me in a week and a half. I explained that I couldn’t be left stranded with a newborn, and still, they didn’t care.
I had to take the car to a proper shop, where they actually diagnosed the issue and found that the problem was coming from the brake hose. Most likely, even the first time the caliper was replaced, that wasn’t the real issue.
They don’t seem professional, and when something goes wrong, they avoid responsibility. I definitely do not recommend them. Maybe they used to be good, since I’ve heard positive things about them, but that was not my experience.
My wife and I have used them for decades, and we have always lived on the other side of the city from them. They do things right, and are reasonably priced.
