Great people great service

We brought our company Ford F-350 Super Duty to JB Transmission in St. Marys with a transfer case issue. They quickly diagnosed the problem and provided us with a loaner truck so our business could keep operating while ours was being repaired.<br>Great service, professional staff, and excellent customer care.

Very disappointed. Google is requiring me to add a star so I had to add one......I would give -1000 if I could! Took my truck there and was told would be fixed in a couple days. It was 30 days. Drove almost all the way home then transmission leaked all the fluid out. They did not fix shifter like he had said he did. The next day I got it towed back and 3 days later was called and told that during there test drive they blew up my transfer case because my driveshaft came apart AND my brake line broke at same time. All apperently new issues. I asked how fast they were driving my truck for this catastrophic event to happen and was told it was broken by someone working at JB transmission. When i asked the owner who was test driving my truck, I was told he (owner) was the only one however as we talked more he told me one of his workers was driving it. Then when I went to grab the truck for the second time I had to pay an extra $550 and I didn’t even have a front driveshaft anymore. When I picked it up for the second time I told him it wasn’t fair I had to pay more for broken parts that happened on their watch and was told “well I could be charging you for all the parts plus labour but I'm just charging you for the parts”. So they blew up my transfer case & driveshaft (which was perfect before I took it to this garage and thousands of dollars to fix btw), I got my trans rebuilt (with only 10,000km warranty which is garbage) and I’m getting the truck back in worse shape than when I gave to them! Do not go to this place if you value your money! Now after paying this garage nearly $5300, I have a STILL broken truck! I am so disgusted in this business. Please beware. I should add I have spoken to two other mechanics and they asked if this garage drove my truck in 4x4 on the test drive? Also, once they would have heard noises why did they not stop to investigate. Their recklessness has cost me a lot of money that my young family just does not have.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at J.B. Transmission.<br><br>Before taking my car there, I called to ask if they had time to repair it because they said they were very busy. They told me to bring the car in the next day, so I had it towed there.<br><br>However, my vehicle wasn’t even checked for four days. Every time I called for an update, I was told, “It will be repaired today.” After four days, I called again, and about 30 minutes later they called back saying my car was ready.<br><br>I paid around $350, but when I tried to start the car in their parking lot, it wouldn’t even start. The original problem was not fixed. I informed them immediately, and they kept the car again.<br><br>The same thing happened for the next three days. Every day I was told, “It will be checked today.” Eventually they called and said the car was ready. This time they charged me another $450. When I asked about the first $350 I had already paid, I was told that was for labour.<br><br>In total, I spent about $800 on repairs, plus $220 for towing. They also told me they had installed a used wiring harness and that there was no warranty on it.<br><br>The car started when I picked it up, so I thought the issue had finally been fixed. Unfortunately, after I got home, I shut the car off and tried to start it again. It had the exact same problem as before and would not start.<br><br>I paid hundreds of dollars, but my original issue was never resolved. I left feeling that parts were replaced without fixing the root cause of the problem. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this shop. If you’re considering taking your vehicle here, make sure you fully understand the diagnosis, the proposed repair, and the warranty before authorizing any work.

We had such a fantastic experience with J B Transmission and couldn’t recommend them enough. We were staying in Winnipeg for the night on a road trip and ended up having some car issues on our way into the city. We called around first thing in the morning and were recommended to come here and are so thankful that we did. They diagnosed and fixed the issue in under two hours, charged a reasonable rate for labour, and even called us a few hours later to follow up while we were on the road and made sure that we weren’t having any further issues with the car.
