Dear future potential customers: do NOT be misled by Seven Oaks Transmission’s “43 years of experience” slogan. My experience shows that years in business do not guarantee professionalism, respect, or basic customer service.

I had a very disappointing and disrespectful experience at Seven Oaks Transmission.

In the last week of March 2026, I visited their shop and spoke with an older man at reception (not sure if he is the owner or staff). I clearly explained that I wanted to replace my brake pads, rotors, and rear brakes, and that I would be bringing OEM parts from Toyota, which is right next door. He agreed with no issue and quoted me $300 for labour. Based on this, I booked an appointment for April 30 and waited an entire month.

On the day of my appointment, I arrived at 8:30 AM (appointment was at 10 AM) just to ask if they also offer tire swap services. Instead of a simple answer, the same person responded extremely rudely and aggressively, telling me to “go to Toyota and let them do everything” and questioning why I even came to their shop.

When I calmly explained that I was going to bring the parts before the appointment, he raised his voice again and made sarcastic comments like I would need to go “ten times” to Toyota, which made no sense at all. His tone was disrespectful, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, especially in front of other customers.

What is most frustrating is that I waited one full month for this appointment, only to be treated this way. If they had any issue with customers bringing their own parts, they should have clearly stated that at the time of booking instead of wasting my time.

I strongly felt disrespected and uncomfortable during this interaction. This is not how customers should be treated — especially when they are polite, organized, and respectful of the shop’s time.

I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
Haroon Munir
Best service
Professional and transparent service. I stopped by to inquire about opportunities and the team was respectful and gave me honest, clear advice. You can tell they know their trade well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for honest transmission work in Winnipeg!
Very friendly service.
The only place I'll take my vehicle for service. Frank is always incredibly friendly, helpful, and walks through every step. The service is second to none. Only downside is that they're always so busy because they're so good!
