“Received same-day turnaround for a tune-up and repair on a pretty deep gouge. They dropped it off at our hotel in the evening so I could get back on the mountain the next day. Better pricing then I pay back on the US. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Had an amazing experience here. Trevor helped me out and you can genuinely tell how passionate he is about what he does. His energy honestly got me even more excited about the whole experience.

I literally drove 9 hours to come here and I’d do it again without hesitation. That says it all.

Great people, great atmosphere. Best garage in the game!!! 🔥”

“Came into the shop wanting to set a new edge angle from 89 to 88 and a base grind since my board base started getting a bit concave. Prior to the tune, my board was taking a lot of work since the conditions went from spring slush to overnight freeze.

They did such a fantastic job, edges were razor sharp and they put a new structure on my base.

The next day was the same frozen conditions and my board just sliced through the ice and chop like butter the first thing in the morning. I straight up had shivers down my spine in a good way. It was so easy to hold an edge on those conditions after the magic they’ve done to my board. If I have done the paper test on my edges, it probably would have sliced through cleanly.

Wish I had photos of before and after, but I doubt pictures would have done it justice since it was not a huge repair or anything. But my board was a different beast afterwards.

Snowboard: yes hel yes 149 - 2026”

Common Causes of Cooling System Failure

Coolant leaks from cracked hoses, water pump seals, or radiator tanks
Failed thermostat stuck closed, preventing coolant flow
Water pump impeller failure reducing coolant circulation
Clogged radiator from internal corrosion or contaminated coolant
Blown head gasket allowing combustion gases into the cooling system
Electric cooling fan failure preventing airflow through the radiator at idle

Signs Your Cooling System Needs Service

Temperature gauge rising into the red zone or overheating warning
Visible coolant puddle (green, orange, or pink fluid) under the vehicle
Sweet antifreeze smell inside or outside the cabin
Heater blowing cold air when the engine is fully warmed up
Coolant reservoir consistently low or empty after recent fill-ups
Steam coming from under the hood while driving or parked

Auto Cooling System Tips

Never open a radiator cap when the engine is hot—pressurized steam can cause severe burns
Flush your coolant every 2 years or 50,000 km to prevent internal corrosion
Use the correct type of coolant specified by your manufacturer—don't mix different colors
Check your coolant level regularly, especially before long trips
A consistently dropping coolant level without visible leaks may indicate a head gasket issue
Replace rubber coolant hoses every 100,000 km as preventative maintenance—they deteriorate from the inside

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a radiator replacement cost in Banff? +
Radiator replacement for most passenger vehicles costs $500-$1,000 including parts and labor. Trucks and SUVs can cost more due to larger radiators and additional components.
How often should coolant be flushed? +
Most manufacturers recommend a coolant flush every 2 to 5 years or 50,000 to 100,000 km. Long-life coolants may have extended intervals—check your owner's manual.
Can I just add water instead of coolant? +
Only in an emergency. Water alone doesn't provide freeze protection in Canadian winters, corrosion inhibitors, or the proper boiling point elevation. Always use the correct coolant mixture.
What should I do if my car overheats while driving? +
Immediately turn off the AC and turn the heater on full blast to help dissipate engine heat. Pull over safely, turn off the engine, and do not open the hood until it cools. Call for a tow to the nearest repair shop.
