Very disappointed. They broke the end of the dipstick off when they quickly pulled it out. Then (without asking us) they tried to drill the broken piece of the dipstick out, which made the problem way worse. The cost to fix is at least $400 from my mechanic and if any pieces from their drilling got down into the oil pan, then the cost will be way more! We will find out during our appointment next Tuesday when we return home to the U.S.

They said this happened because we came from the U.S. and it was a hot day and the plastic piece of the dipstick handle likely melted off. However, it was not only a clean break with no sign of melting, but our car sat for over 3 hours during the ferry wait time plus the 2 hour+ ferry ride from Tssawwsen to Nanaimo. Bottom line -- the engine was not hot, since we only drove about 20 minutes from the ferry to the dealership.

Also, we had our oil changed THREE times in Palm Springs where we lived for awhile in up to 120 degree heat and never had any problems.

P.S. To top it all off, their pay system also asked for a tip on top of the $165 that we paid for the service. We did get a $7 discount because we noticed a Valvoline discount, but we had to ask. Also, they offered no discount and did not even ask if we wanted the free advertised Car Wash.

We left very unhappy.

We will write management and report back if management offers to pay for some or all of the repair.
Great shop very knowledgeable.
Staff is friendly.
Would recommend this place.
Amazing service from start to finish! Rob and Alex took great care of my car and made sure everything was done properly. They were both very professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I really appreciate the great service and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and excellent service!
