I just had my IDrive updated on my 2017 540i to the latest version. I was having connections issues before the update and was unable to get full screen CarPlay. I then reached out to Artur at Car Diagnostic Solutions and he went above and beyond to answer any questions or concerns I had. He then determined that my IDrive needs to be updated to the latest version to resolve the issues and be able to enable full screen CarPlay. Once I drove to his place, he was able to fully update my IDrive without any problems. I was then able to get full screen CarPlay.
Artur is very professional and had the BMW DME recovered in a day. Great work. Thank you!
Word of advice: when programming BMWs, stick to high-quality cables. Using a cheap K+DCAN was a huge gamble that didn't pay off. I overestimated the error correction mechanism at such not-so-high data rates. Don't make the same mistake.
Highly recommend! I connected with him through BMW True North and he was able to diagnose and fix my issue in under 30 minutes. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. He took the time to explain everything clearly and was super friendly throughout the process. Couldn't be happier with the experience—thanks again!
