Hello, I was told Nate is no longer at VCM, anyone know where he is working now?

I was referred to VCM by a nearby garage when I was looking to replace the head gasket in my 2008 Subaru Outback. When performing the head gasket replacement, they noticed my timing kit was incorrectly installed (done under previous ownership), and only charged me for the parts and not the extra labour, which I really appreciated. A few weeks later, I was driving down to California and my check engine light started flashing. Luckily, I was close to Portland and was able to be towed to a Subaru Service Centre. My timing belt had been installed incorrectly at VCM and the belt itself had been progressively ripped up to the point where rubber powder coated the surrounding areas of the engine. Kudos to VCM where it's due, they immediately refunded me for the work, and the Subaru Service Centre was able to get a new kit installed and the engine passed a pressure test. Unfortunately, the gasket and potentially some valves had been so warped by the VCM timing kit that after a week of driving, the engine had lost all its oil and developed a rod knock.<br><br>Overall, the folks at VCM were great to deal with and were very forthright in their mistake, however it was a mistake big enough to cost me my Outback.
