“I own a 1999 Mazda Miata that has a 2005 engine installed to take advantage that engine year's variable valve timing VVT. To make use of the '05 VVT, an aftermarket VVT module (brain) and engine was installed by the previous owner in about 2018. I purchased this car in 2024. Upon taking this Summer Fun car out of storage, I noticed that this year, the usual extra low to mid range power (when compared to a stock 1999 engine without VVT) was missing. I called several automotive shops to see if they would look into this issue. As my VVT module was old/obsolete, only Anthony at APX Performance was willing to take the time to look into the issue. In the end, he was able to discern that the culprit was the actual engine VVT solenoid; which was replaced.

I was very happy with Anthony's care and attention. Would recommend.”

“Have been coming here for last over 5 years. The owner, Kim and Assistant, Herman are just amazing. Herman really knows his stuff. They are Honest, caring and recommend exactly what is required to repair or replace. And very reasonable.”
