“Really excellent experience here. I've got an old F250, and while on a road trip up near Whistler my transmission fully failed - side of road stuck. I'm from Seattle, and the owner was incredibly responsive, and confirmed I could get the truck towed to him on a weekend. Finding a shop that could acommodate a heavy-duty truck with a pop-up camper in the bed was a challenge especially far from home.<br><br>He tore down the transmission, identifying what failed, and rebuilt it in a very timely manner (about a week) using stronger-than-stock parts, OEM fluids, and following all recommendations including things like flushing the cooling system. Communication was a huge highlight to me, as he updated me at every step of the process and was transparent about pricing, options I had, and his timeline. He even stayed a bit after closing one evening so that I could make it back up from Seattle to pick up the truck. While I've put less than 1000 miles on the truck since the rebuild, it has broken in very well and is shifting strong and smooth and I have confidence in the durability of the rebuild. HIs prices were in line with what I'd expect for a rebuild on this kind of truck and felt fully fair.<br><br>If I was more local, this would be my go-to transmission shop after this experience.”
