“The shop is exceptional! They take the job that nobody, even dealership wouldn't and succeed. I'm a wrench monkey myself but the work on my A8 automatic transmission is a Houdini level. All of that for 25% of just parts price that the dealer wanted for replacement transmission.
Accepting an old car to repair has inherent risk of other failures - in my case the speed sensor that was reinstalled failed a couple days later - got to call tow and fixed myself. That is not their fault. But be aware - if it was someone less tech-savvy than me it would probably result in negative review. So - take my word: the shop deserves utmost respect!”
