“Great service”

Luc Theriault • Suspension & Steering at M & M Service Inc. Mechanic Division, Grand Falls

“Pulled off the highway on route to Ontario to check on engine after check engine light appeared. These guys were super busy and still made time to check my codes to make sure it was safe to drive. Friendly and professional and only charged us $20. Well worth the peace of mind. Highly recommend… the garage was clean and the service 10/10. Thanks guys!”

“Great friendly service.”

Gilles Mongeon • Suspension & Steering at M & M Service Inc. Mechanic Division, Grand Falls

“Unfortunately, all I can provide is 5 Stars, however they are deserving of well more than that!

Recently travelling to Ontario for a death in the family, we had stopped in Grand Falls for gas, which at that point, realized that the truck was spewing anti-freeze.....so, of course that meant a need for a fix immediately.

We happened across M & L Auto Service, as it was the closest to where we had filled up with gas.....and, boy, am I glad we did!

Explaining to Tammy what was going on, she was compassionate towards are predicament, and offered to have Michel look at the truck after lunch (it was around noon when we pulled in). Obviously very anxious to understand what our options were, I started looking at renting a vehicle, to ensure that we got to Ontario in a timely fashion.....just in case.

Well, Tammy and Michel bent over backwards to get the tuck looked at, the water pump (yep, that was the issue) ordered and installed, and back on the road within 3 hours. So, the service was great, the people are wonderful, and the repair was done expeditiously, and the cost was a pleasant surprise.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do shocks and struts cost to replace in Grand Falls? +
Replacing all four shocks or struts typically costs $800-$1,600 including parts and labor. Struts with integrated spring assemblies are more expensive than basic shock absorbers.
How often should suspension components be replaced? +
Shocks and struts generally last 80,000-150,000 km. Ball joints and tie rod ends vary, but should be inspected annually and replaced when play or looseness is detected.
Do I need a wheel alignment after hitting a pothole? +
If you hit a significant pothole and notice the steering wheel is off-center or the vehicle pulls, yes—get an alignment check immediately to prevent expensive uneven tire wear.
What's the difference between shocks and struts? +
Struts are a structural component that integrates the coil spring and shock absorber into one unit. Shocks are standalone dampers mounted separately. Your vehicle uses one or the other depending on the suspension design.
